Today we had Carcass Lottery on for like 10 minutes of interview and a lot of random conversation. We played a lot of grindcore and random junk it was pretty haphazard. The bookend today was Music Has The Right To Children by Boards of Canada.

Today I started off with the intent to play some random doom metal picks but ended up honing in on a particular vibe of doom metal that is slow, crushingly heavy, and really really sad. Towards the end of the show we starting veering away from this a wee bit, but it was still slow and heavy like our opening and closing tracks, taken from Satan Worshipping Doom by Bongripper.

Today I went for mostly the purest, unfiltered noise I could find. If you ever think Actual Paddock isn't noisy enough then you can listen to this over and over and over. Today we explored some drone music and it's derivatives. The 3 main blocks were Drone Doom, ""Drone with a beat""", and NZ Drone. Bookending the playlist today was Le Sacre De Soleil Invaincu by Neptunian Maximalism, a droney jazzy metal band. I really enjoyed making this playlist and getting to drone out to some zones in the studio. I hope everyone sat there with their eyes closed and patiently awaited the end.

Today we explored 3 different subgenres of Black Metal, neatly packaged into 3 blocks made up of 3 songs each. These were Atmospheric Black Metal, Blackened Noise, and War Metal. I really enjoyed doing the research for this playlist and I hope you enjoyed listening to it. This was by far the least American AP, only 1 band was from the US. Normally I play a lot of American bands so just an interesting thing. Intro/outro for today was Il était une forêt by Gris.
