SATURDAY 18TH MAY 2024DPAG Late Brekko; Hofftrough's last + two DPAG curators + local artist Nick Guilford + Blue Oyster gallery manager Beth Garey
Wow, what a time to be alive. Up first we had DPAG curator Lucy Hammond talking about Chaptered, a new show which features large-scale works from four artists across four practices. Then DPAG curator Lauren Gutsell came on to discuss Stars, Lands, another new exhibition which was lead by Aotearoa artist Nicola Farquhar.
After these two, Blue Oyster public programme manager Beth Garey pulled up to talk about gallery biz. Lastly, local artist Nick Guilford joined the boys to spin a yarn on his latest show Ecdysis, which explores themes of hopelessness in response to changes in technology, deteriorating world politics, and harsh social paradigms.
